Job Description
Part-time cleaning and catering role in a childcare service, requiring punctuality, reliability, and flexibility, with a focus on safety procedures and child engagement.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cleaning and catering, with valid food safety certification, and be fluent in spoken and written English. They will also have necessary communication, literacy, and record-keeping skills, as well as an interest in working with children.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining a cleaning programme
- Operating housekeeping equipment
- Preparing and serving food
- Engaging with children on a daily basis
- Following safety procedures and directions
- Attending further training and development
Requirements:
- No formal qualification required, but proven experience and valid food safety certification preferred
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Flexibility and self-motivation
- Eligibility to work in Ireland and receipt of a social welfare payment
- Ability to submit details for Garda Vetting and international police clearance/vetting if applicable
This position is part-funded by the Community Services Programme, and applicants must be eligible for the programme and provide proof of eligibility from their Intreo officer.
