Clinical Nurse Lead Job for New Mental Health Service based in MeathOur client, a leading provider of residential care for individuals with Intellectual disabilities and mental health, is hiring a Clinical Nurse Lead for a new Mental Health Service based in Meath. This service will provide specialised inpatient mental health care and is seeking experienced and passionate Psychiatric Nurses to join our dynamic team as Clinical Nurse Leads. Embracing values of dignity, respect, and diversity, they foster meaningful relationships and high standards of quality and safety.Clinical Nurse Lead Job OverviewThe Clinical Nurse Lead will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients' mental health services are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position involves providing nursing assessments, developing and evaluating care plans, supervising junior staff, and maintaining the highest level of infection control standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLive our client's mission, vision, and values: Uphold the principles and standards of our client's organization.Compliance: Adhere to responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 2001, Mental Health Amendment Act 2018, Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, and all related regulations and codes of practice.Care Planning and Implementation: Develop, implement, and evaluate individual care plans in collaboration with patients, carers, and other professionals. Ensure Individual Care Plans (ICP) are up to date.Leadership and Supervision: Lead the unit, support junior staff in clinical decision-making, and ensure appropriate skill mix in each unit. Complete supervision and appraisals of junior staff members.Clinical Excellence: Maintain high standards in clinical nursing procedures, including custody, storage, and administration of medicines. Ensure the protection of patients' rights under the Mental Health Act.Operational Management: Oversee the Centre in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing/Director of Nursing. Plan and prepare for Mental Health Commission (MHC) visits and inspections.
