Job Description

Role Title: Clinical Nurse Manager 11 Role Location: Urgent care 360 Health centre Swords 6 months Contract A full time 6 month contract position has arisen for the role of Clinical Nurse Manager II (CNM II) in Urgent Care at the Vhi 360 Health Centre in Swords. The Urgent Care service provides Vhi members access to urgent care for minor injuries and illnesses. The CNM II in the Urgent Care Centre will have a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating and managing activity and resources in the Urgent Care Centre in Swords. The main responsibilities are quality assurance, people management, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional and clinical leadership. Benefits: Excellent company Pension Health Insurance Death in service Income Protection Role Purpose Direct, coordinate and provide a high quality, evidence based nursing and health care assistant (HCA) service to clients/patients attending the Urgent Care Centre at Vhi 360 Health Centre Swords. Roster and supervise of nursing and HCA staff, ensuring an adequate skill mix of nursing and HCA staff on the urgent care floor. Supervise and manage the patient flow through the Urgent Care floor. Educate, mentor and support the nursing and HCA teams. Enable the training and development of nursing and HCA staff in the provision of safe and effective practice through team leadership, management and practical expertise. Demonstrates leadership potential to make an impact, influence, energise and inspire others across Urgent Care and beyond. Engage in performance review processes including personal development planning as appropriate. Performs audits as agreed and evaluates outcome of care. Work on own initiative and manage own time effectively. Lead and implement change management as required. Engage in IT developments as they apply to service users and service administration. Education & Experience Be registered on the General Division of the register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be eligible to so register. 5 years post registration experience within the past 7 years. Demonstrated management experience throughout the last 2 years. Emergency Department experience. Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice. Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.
