Job Description

Clinical / Quality Assurance ManagerOur client is a not-for-profit organisation providing care delivery to their service users in their own home in the North Dublin area. They are looking to expand their team by the addition of a Clinical/Quality Assurance Manager who will oversee the company’s Clinical & Quality policies by monitoring & instilling a high standard of quality service to be provided to their service-users. The ideal person shall be a registered Nurse with at least 2 years previous management experience of large teams. A management qualification would be desirable. This role will provide clinical leadership to the team of carers and care supervisors. The Clinical/ Quality Assurance Manager shall promote the concept of quality person-centred care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients service users.Role/Responsibilities:Clinical ResponsibilitiesTo provide clinical leadership to the teamMaintain a working up to date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (HIQA standards experience required)To ensure that all service users have an individual Care Needs Assessment conducted every 6 months or as needs change. A person-centred care plan will then be implemented to reflect specific needs of each service user and is agreed by the service userTo ensure that risks are proactively identified, reported upon, and escalated appropriatelyTo be involved with members of the local multi-disciplinary teams in the context of care to the service user and carer needs demandTo consult with care supervisors daily to discuss any current issues and offer clinical advice as requiredTo develop and promote a professional relationship with service users and their familiesTo assist in the implementation and updates of company policies and proceduresTo effectively communicate with other members of the senior leadership teamQuality Assurance ResponsibilitiesTo take an active role in leading and developing standards of care by completing quarterly care standards audits with service usersTo maximise each service user’s capacity to exercise personal autonomy and choiceTo document and effectively deal with complaintsSpecific objectives of this role will be agreed with the post holder periodically by the General Manager.Qualifications/Experience:At least 5 years post registration experience with a minimum of 2 years in a management roleRegistered on the general division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland live registerManagement qualification desirableExcellent leadership, organisational and communication skillsSound decision making abilityAbility to promote a team environmentComputer skills essentialFull current Irish driving licence as driving will be requiredThis post is subject to satisfactory references, medical and garda vettingFor further details please contact: Karen Shiel on 087 745 2487 or send CV in confidence to karen.shiel@lifescience.ie #J-18808-Ljbffr
