Job Description

Clinical /Quality Assurance Manager Our client is a not-for-profit organisation providing care delivery to their service users in their own home in the North Dublin area. They are looking to expand their team by the addition of a Clinical/Quality Assurance Manager who will oversee the companys Clinical & Quality policies by monitoring & instilling a high standard of quality service to be provided to their service-users. The ideal person shall be a registered Nurse with at least 2 years previous management experience of large teams. A management qualification would be desirable. This role will provide clinical leadership to the team of carers and care supervisors. The Clinical/ Quality Assurance Manager shall promote the concept of quality person-centred care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients service users. Role/Responsibilities: Clinical Responsibilities To provide clinical leadership to the team Maintain a working up to date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (HIQA standards experience required) To ensure that all service users have an individual Care Needs Assessment conducted every 6 months or as needs change. A person-centred care plan will then be implemented to reflect specific needs of each service user and is agreed by the service user To ensure that risks are proactively identified, reported upon, and escalated appropriately To be involved with members of the local multi-disciplinary teams in the context of care to the service user and carer needs demand To consult with care supervisors daily to discuss any current issues and offer clinical advice as required To develop and promote a professional relationship with service users and their families To assist in the implementation and updates of company policies and procedures To effectively communicate with other members of the senior leadership team Quality Assurance Responsibilities To take an active role in leading and developing standards of care by completing quarterly care standards audits with service users To maximise each service users capacity to exercise personal autonomy and choice To document and effectively deal with complaints Specific objectives of this role will be agreed with the post holder periodically by the General Manager Qualifications/Experience: At least 5 years post registration experience with a minimum of 2 years in a management role Registered on the general division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland live register Management qualification desirable Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills Sound decision making ability Ability to promote a team environment Computer skills essential Full current Irish driving licence as driving will be required This post is subject to satisfactory references, medical and garda vetting For further details please contact: Karen Shiel on or send CV in confidence to Skills: Nurse Quality Assurance Auditing
