About us: St Jamess Hospital is Irelands largest acute academic teaching hospital and is based in Dublins south inner city. Our fundamental purpose is the delivery of health treatment, care and diagnosis as well as health promotion and preventative services at local, regional and national levels. Purpose of the role: The role of the Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist in Hand Therapyis to join an established Hand Therapy team providing a comprehensive service to burns, plastics and trauma orthopaedics. The post holder will possess advanced clinical knowledge and expertise as well as being attuned to service development and continuous quality improvement. This hand therapy service will be expanding to deliver a responsive service to a new elective surgical hub at Mount Carmel Hospital. Please note: The post-holder will join the existing hand therapy team who will coordinate care between the St. Jamess Hospital and Mount Carmel surgical hub in accordance with service needs.
