Galway Clinic seeks experienced Ultrasound Specialist to lead service, develop policies, and provide high-quality patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertake primary responsibility for Ultrasound service, utilising resources effectively
- Provide professional and clinical leadership, ensuring quality of service
- Contribute to policy development, equipment selection, and service planning
- Maintain knowledge of clinical, technical, and professional developments in Ultrasound
- Report operational issues to Radiography Services Manager
- Support departmental risk assessments and implement initiatives for service development
- Undertake abdominal, gynaecological, and obstetric ultrasound examinations
- Supervise less experienced staff members and assist with training
- Participate in equipment inspections and quality assurance procedures
- Perform role-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound (MSc preferred)
- CORU registration
- Minimum 6 years experience in Ultrasound
- Proven clinical, leadership, project management, managerial, and customer care skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility in work practices
