Key Responsibilities: Manage the day to day Operations of the Ultrasound service, ensuring optimal use of resources. Provide strong clinical and professional leadership while maintaining high standards of patient care and service quality. Develop and implement policies, protocols, and guidelines for the department. Offer guidance on the selection and management of ultrasound equipment. Collaborate with the Radiography Services Manager to develop and monitor operational plans. Stay updated on the latest developments in ultrasound and adopt best practices. Conduct various ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, gynaecological, obstetric, and vascular scans, with detailed reporting. Supervise and support junior staff, as well as provide training for radiographers, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals in ultrasound techniques. Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed and address any operational issues as needed. Participate in the departments on-call rota and contribute to service development initiatives. Eligibility Criteria: Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent. Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound (MSc preferred). CORU registration. Minimum of 6 years of experience in Ultrasound. Proven clinical and leadership skills, along with experience in project management and customer care. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
