Cloud Support Engineer Summary

Provide expert technical support to customers utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud products and services, troubleshooting complex issues and driving customer adoption and growth.

About the Job

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer support and expertise, working with customers to resolve technical issues and drive adoption of AWS services.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support to customers via various channels, including phone, email, and live chat.
  • Utilize groundbreaking technologies and techniques to provide tailored solutions and drive customer interactions.
  • Partner with AWS teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues, leverage customer support experience to improve internal services, and drive customer communication during critical events.
  • Develop and present training, coach/mentor new hires, and contribute to process improvement and strategic initiatives.
  • Work on complex customer problems, spanning multiple AWS services, and develop tools/scripts to help the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical position.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a technical position, with a focus on Support or System Administration.
  • Proficiency in Systems Administration in Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, Cent OS, Red Hat, etc).
  • Troubleshooting Linux OS and package management, with a good understanding of Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing, and Name Resolution).
  • Knowledge or experience with troubleshooting OS issues using instance down, SSH issues, package management.
  • Some programming/scripting experience (Java, Perl, Ruby, Python) and ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken) within technical and business settings.
