Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Logistics Manager to oversee the receipt and distribution of parts, consumables, and supplies in a fast-paced storage warehouse environment. As a Data Center Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of direct employees, scheduling work tasks, and ensuring the physical condition of the storage warehouse areas. You will also be responsible for maintaining security and accountability of sensitive equipment, completing operational requirements, and contributing to continuous process improvements. **Key Responsibilities:** • Safeguard operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols. • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory management tools. • Maintain the physical condition of the storage warehouse areas by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. • Maintain security and accountability of sensitive equipment. • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning a group of direct employees and following up on work results. • Maintain Logistics staff productivity and goals by managing and coaching members of your team; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. • Contribute to continuous process improvements to deliver on our goals of high availability and low cost. • Maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and create reports for management as required. • Comply with local warehousing, Health & Safety, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. **Qualifications:** • Recognized third-level professional qualification in a relevant field. • Extensive Logistics & Management work experience. • Experience in Inventory Management Systems and processes & strong understanding of distribution and warehousing practices. • Experience using metrics to perform analyses & familiarity with producing process documentation & knowledge of regional import and export practices. **Preferred Qualifications:** • 5+ years experience in Data Centre or hi-tech environment. • 3+ years in IT industry & knowledge of IT systems and Networks would be an advantage. • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma practices. • Excellent organizational skills for orderliness; ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure department objectives are met; demonstrated positive work attitude & leadership skills. • Valid driving license and willingness to move around between the different data center locations.
