CNC Machinist Opportunity
A self-driven team player is required to operate CNCs & CAM in a state-of-the-art machining environment.
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Curraheen, Cork.
Responsibilities:
- Creation of machining approach utilising CAM software for efficient and effective manufacture of products.
- Tool selection to ensure cutting technologies used reflect application.
- Setter/Operator CNC Milling machines.
- Comply with all new product documentation and process control procedures including CNC program control and fixture documentation.
- Ensure components and finished products consistently meet design specifications and the highest engineering and quality standards in a timely manner.
- Carrying out Final inspections.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in a precision engineering environment.
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience working in a subcontract machining environment.
- A minimum of 2-3 year experience utilising CAM software for simultaneous 5-Axis machining approaches.
- Problem solving/decision making ability.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and conscientious/thorough approach to assigned tasks.
- Use of conventional metrology tools, fixtures, gauges and special equipment for manufacturing operations and new product/processes.
- Fluent English.
- Medical device and/or Aerospace production experience desired.
Requirements (Skills & Qualifications):
- Relevant degree in Engineering/Toolmaking.
- Engineering/Toolmaking experience.
- CAM Engineering experience.
- Machinist 3, 4 & 5 Axis Machining experience.
Work Arrangements:
- Full-time, permanent position.
- 39 hours per week.
- On-site parking.
- 12 hour shift, 8 hour shift, holidays, Monday to Friday, nights as needed, overtime.
- Overtime pay.
