Job Description

Dynamic Collections Manager sought for leading utility company Flogas Ireland.
Lead internal collection agents to achieve targets and maintain high performance standards.
Develop and implement effective collection strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyse collection activities to identify trends and opportunities for improving revenue protection and recovery rates.
Maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their concerns and queries related to outstanding balances in a professional and empathetic manner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of internal collection agents to achieve collection targets and maintain high performance standards.
* Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimise overdue accounts and bad debt while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and analyse collection activities to identify trends and opportunities for improving revenue protection and recovery rates.
* Maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their concerns and queries related to outstanding balances in a professional and empathetic manner.
* Set performance targets for the collections team and regularly review their progress, providing feedback and support to achieve individual and team goals.
* Prepare regular reports on collection activities, performance metrics, and revenue recovery, presenting findings to senior management and recommending actionable insights.
* Continuously evaluate and improve collection processes, systems, and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including data protection and privacy standards.
* Work closely with other departments, including customer service, finance, and sales, to align collection efforts with overall business objectives.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in credit and collections, including 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the energy sector. They will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in collection software and CRM systems. With an analytical mindset and in-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, they will be results-driven, focused on achieving targets, and able to make sound decisions under pressure. An empathetic, customer-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively are essential personal attributes.
