Job Description
Our Colour Consultants work with customers to help choose colours/colour schemes and to give advice on interior design questions in relation to our products. Consultations with customers are carried out online, in-store, and/or at customer homes or businesses. The ideal person will have an Interior Design & Retail background with exceptional communication and product knowledge skills. You will be a self-starter and a team player with a drive for generating and closing sales. This is a Part-time/flexible role (3 days a week) including 1/2 Saturdays working a month.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide in-store, at-home, business, and online colour consultations, across our range of premium paint brands.
- Provide a high level of customer service, identifying customer needs in order to increase sales, provide assistance, product knowledge, and improve service levels and sales targets.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of customers' needs, space dynamics, and style preferences to deliver tailored colour recommendations.
- Utilize CRM to maintain customer database and design software to enhance early customer engagement and streamline consultation process to maximize customer retention and sales conversion opportunities.
- Advise and assist customers on the correct product and equipment for their job.
- Manage colour consultancy diary, including rescheduling and cancellations.
- Implement best-in-class post consultation follow-up services, including personalized packages and bespoke emails with sample suggestions and next steps.
- Accept payments from customers and complete all sales documentation and authorization procedures correctly to ensure accurate records and adherence to company policy.
- Liaise with the customer service team to facilitate consultation.
- Assist with visual merchandising, in-store and window displays, as required.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Cove & Co's brands, products, and services to inform the online team and customers.
- Ensure all Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times in line with statutory legislation and Company policy, addressing any safety concerns as they arise.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures relating to security of company monies and stock are strictly adhered to at all times.
- Ensure store operating standards achieve the level of excellence required.
- Attend and contribute to training & development as arranged by your manager.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards 14001, 9001 & 45001 for Environmental, Quality, and Health and safety at all times, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Skills Profile:
- Qualification in Interior Design.
- 1-2 Years of interior design experience or colour consultancy preferable.
- Must have a full driving license with own transport.
- Comfortable visiting customer homes and businesses.
- Ability to work in a small team environment, flexible in attitude towards working hours and duties to complete a job regardless of roles.
- Customer-focused and direct sales experience.
- Good understanding of IT systems.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong people skills, with an ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Willingness to learn about products and colour.
- Desire to work as part of a high-performance sales team.
- Must be prepared to work as part of a team and assist or carry out other duties during periods of high workload, sickness, holidays, and emergencies.
