Company: Our client provides a wide range of dry ingredients solutions for the Food industry into the Irish market. Specifically, they supply to customers in the Processed Meat, Bakery, Snack Food, Flexitarian and Vegetarian product areas. They are customer-focused, with an agile approach to customer service, and over two decades of successful business behind them. There is a clear focus on sustainability and health and wellness in their ingredients. Opportunity: Joining our client’s team as the Commercial and Technical Manager presents a unique opportunity to lead the sales and research & development (R&D) endeavors of their company. As a pivotal member of the senior management team, you will provide the guidance and direction necessary to ensure the delivery of top-tier solutions in terms of both efficacy and quality to their esteemed clientele. Your role will involve spearheading direct sales efforts, nurturing distributor relationships in key international markets, and serving as the crucial liaison between customers and the technical expertise within the organization. Responsibilities: * Drive sales, profitability, and business goals as part of the senior management team. * Expand sales in core markets, manage client relationships, and identify new business opportunities. * Lead and direct the sales team to meet objectives and targets. * Enhance efficiency and effectiveness of R&D for profitable solutions. * Develop and manage KPIs for customer service improvement. * Provide timely and accurate reports on sales and R&D operations. * Participate in quality optimization processes. * Inspire and lead a high-performance team. * Stay updated on industry trends and represent the company at events. * Negotiate and agree on contracts to benefit the business. Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate for this role will possess: * Previous managerial experience, preferably in sales and marketing. * In-depth understanding of business functions and customer management. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong leadership abilities to guide teams effectively. * Exceptional organizational abilities to manage workload efficiently. * Solid financial skills, including reporting capabilities. * Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. * Demonstrated success in driving growth through sales teams. * Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a small team. * Skills in people management and resource allocation.
