Job Description
Lead a Commercial Business Underwriting Team to achieve profitability and revenue targets, developing service level agreements and ensuring excellent service to Sales Branches and Broker panels.
Our Client, a leader in the Insurance Industry Sector in Ireland, is seeking a Commercial Business Underwriting Team Lead to support their business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical referral support to the team, Sales and Claims colleagues on technical queries.
- Implement and report on quality assurance measures to ensure business is underwritten to the required standards.
- Implement, administer, and report to relevant stakeholders on underwriting strategies and objectives.
- Manage the performance of the team to support achievement of objectives.
- Ensure staff receive the appropriate training and development to optimise performance.
- Ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
Key Requirements:
- Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP).
- Highly motivated, confident decision maker with ability to lead and empower others to do the same.
- Ability to lead a team and motivate team in a target driven environment.
- An excellent communicator with developed report writing and presentation skills.
- Highly organised with ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Strong technical commercial property and liability knowledge, administrative and reporting skills.
