Our Client a leader in the Insurance Industry Sector in Ireland are looking to attractaCommercial Business Underwriting Team Leaderto support their business. Reporting to the Commercial Underwriting Operations Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for supporting the achievement of profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan and developing and implementing overall service level agreements to ensure excellent service is provided to Sales Branches and Broker panels. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical referral support to the team, Sales and Claims colleagues on technical queries. Implementing and report on quality assurance measures to ensure business is underwritten to the required standards. Implement, administer, and report to relevant stakeholders on underwriting strategies and objectives. Manage the performance of the team to support achievement of objectives. Ensure staff receive the appropriate training and development to optimise performance. Ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met. Ability to manage and support a team in both operational and technical environments. Key requirements: Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP). Highly motivated, confident decision maker with ability to lead and empower others to do the same. Ability to lead a team and motivate team in a target driven environment. An excellent communicator with developed report writing and presentation skills. Highly organised with ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Strong technical commercial property and liability knowledge, administrative and reporting skills. Salary and extensive benefits commensurate with experience.
