Commercial Engineer wanted in Co Cavan, Ireland. Are you a technically oriented and customer-driven commercial engineer within the precision manufacturing sector? Do you have experience working with precision engineering components? If so, your engineering knowledge will be vital in crafting timely, competitive bids, estimates, and quotations. With comprehensive internal training and close collaboration with our clients' Engineering and Operations departments, you will play a crucial role in our clients team. The role Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to review tender documents and ensure they meet client requirements and specifications. Formulate competitive bids, estimates, and quotations, leveraging in-house process expertise. Proactively source new quality and cost-focused suppliers. Document tenders promptly and with the appropriate level of detail, ensuring full and accurate costings. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the tendering process. Communicate with Engineering and Production regarding any necessary bespoke jigging and fixtures. Build and maintain regular account management relationships with key customers. Work as part of a collaborative internal team, taking ownership and responsibility for the customer base. Requirements Third level engineering qualification or extended experience in a similar role Minimum 1 / 2 years of experience in a relative Engineering discipline Strong written and spoken communication skills essential Knowledge of MS suite, with proficiency of Microsoft Excel Prior Knowledge of Welding / Fabrication and CNC Machining a distinct advantage Intermediate knowledge of SolidWorks an advantage A track record in sales or similar role beneficial Full Driving Licence Benefits Free on-site parking The company is an equal opportunities employer.
