This role offers an excellent opportunity to practice law in a fast-paced, in-house setting, working alongside a highly collaborative international team of lawyers and legal analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising the Group General Counsel and other senior executives on all legal aspects of the company's commercial relationships.
- Drafting and negotiating software license agreements and other contractual documents.
- Providing actionable legal advice aligned with the company's strategic commercial objectives.
- Advising on and assisting in the resolution of contentious matters.
- Applying and developing best practices in risk management.
- Adopting and implementing lean management principles in the delivery of legal services.
Requirements:
- A qualified lawyer (solicitor, barrister, or attorney) from a common law jurisdiction with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Smart and commercially savvy.
- Able to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Intellectually curious, independent, and rigorous in their thinking.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Skilled at managing document templates and efficiently processing legal documentation.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in international mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
- Experience working in the legal department of a multinational company.
- Expertise in intellectual property (IP) or information technology (IT) law.
