Role Description The Solicitor will be responsible for delivering legal advice on a broad spectrum of complex commercial, contractual, construction, and procurement matters. Main Responsibilities Provide legal advice on a wide range of commercial, construction, contractual, corporate, and regulatory matters. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and mitigate legal risks, ensuring that the advice is clear and accessible. Manage relationships with external legal advisors, ensuring value for money and minimising legal risks and costs. Actively participate in legal team initiatives, providing commercially focused advice and contributing to the overall success of the legal function. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Essential: Qualified solicitor with 1-8 years of post-qualification experience in relevant legal areas, preferably within the energy, infrastructure, or regulatory sectors. Proven ability to handle high workloads and deliver high-quality legal advice on complex commercial contracts, construction, infrastructure, procurement, and regulatory matters. Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail, with the ability to provide clear, concise legal advice. Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Results-oriented, highly organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Desirable: Experience in the energy or infrastructure sectors or a similar regulated environment. Experience working within large, complex organisations and multi-disciplinary teams. Knowledge of the energy industry and an interest in issues related to climate change and renewable energy.
