Our client, a progressive public sector organisation, is seeking a Commissioning Editor to join their dynamic Publications Office team. For more information please contact Jane Ryan on above GHL number. Hourly Rate:€23-30. Role: Commissioning Editor Location: Dublin 2/Hybrid Contract: 10 months, 28hr per week. PART TIME Hourly Rate:€23-30ph doe. As a key part of this role, you will: Contribute to the development of commissioned books, ensuring excellence in content, structure, and organisation. Oversee the delivery of complete manuscripts, working closely with design managers and editors to ensure smooth production. Engage with authors, managing contracts, royalties, and providing exceptional author care. Evaluate and expand the organisations publications list, identifying innovative book ideas and new publishing opportunities. Build creative partnerships to promote publications across cultural, financial, and educational sectors. Essential Criteria: A third-level degree in a relevant field. Minimum of three years experience in publishing. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to develop and manage creative projects. Desirable Criteria: Experience in book commissioning. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field. Expertise in creative strategies to reach new audiences and forge impactful partnerships.
