We are seeking a highly motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our team working on large scale M&E projects & hyperscale Data Centre projects within the UK, Ireland and Europe.
As a Commissioning Engineer at AVK, you will provide technical assistance to the commissioning manager, and project delivery team to enable technical submittals and drawings to be prepared during the project life cycle, supervision of installations, pre-commissioning and completing final commissioning, testing and handover to the client.
You will be working with the following systems and equipment:
- Single and multiple LV/HV generator systems.
- Generator control systems including PLC controls.
- Switchboards and their control systems.
- Fuel systems including fuel transfer and fuel polishing systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Commissioning Manager by receiving commissioning fault calls from commissioning team in the first instance.
- Review client/customer technical specifications and drawings, working closely with the project team.
- Participate in project / commissioning meetings and progress meetings with clients and consultants.
- Carry out site surveys and reporting.
- Carry out generator factory acceptance testing.
- Supervise the installation of generator systems.
- Complete testing and commissioning of generator systems to customer, consultants, and end user.
- Provide technical support in the production of risk assessments, method statements and test documents.
- Technical support and assistance to internal engineering department teams.
- Maintain safe working practices.
