Join our highly creative and efficient team as a Commissioning Engineer to support the operations of AWS owned data centers, hybrid colos, single tenant colos, and multi-tenant colos. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems, including high, medium, and low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water systems, building management systems, electrical power monitoring systems, testing and balancing, and pumps and hydronic systems. You will also provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects, and review component submittal packages, lead factory witness testing, perform system level and integrated system testing, and continuously audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for comprehensive weekly reporting of the status of all ongoing projects and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of our program. This position will include coverage of multiple inflight projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in mission critical facilities or data center infrastructure, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline, 3+ years of commissioning experience, certification or training specific to NETA, ASHRAE, or commissioning specific education courses, and the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for 50% or more of the time. Preferred qualifications include advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, effective communication skills, detail oriented, highly organized, and ability to work in high stress environments, advance knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures, and ability to read and edit construction documents.
