Job Description

Role Profile To carry out the commissioning process from receipt of the Project Handover file from senior management to handover of the project and close out the project file including all records and completion of the project O&M file where required. To document and update schedule of works for all activities and update ongoing. To detail all project commissioning data in a timely fashion and deliver to commissioning manager or client personnel in a timely fashion. Job Description Commission medium voltage switchgear, current and voltage transformers, Rogowski coils, distribution and power transformers, protection relays, power quality meters, high-voltage cables and HMI/supervision systems. Program and test relay I/O, settings and Logic. Review tender, design, construction and as-built drawings in a timely fashion and ensure effective records are retained for commissioning development, quality and record control. Identify critical commissioning requirements and ensure these are communicated effectively to all personnel in receipt in design and drawing output ongoing. Discrimination studies and other studies are included. Develop testing and commissioning procedures, standards and documentation. Issue required pre-commissioning and other test protocols. Implement continuous improvement and development of the existing systems and procedures. Ensure ongoing compliance with company ISO standards. Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests and site work including Cold Commissioning and/or Site Acceptance Tests. Act as a representative of Enersol on customer sites and liaise with customers, contractors, subcontractors, on-site laborers and third-parties to ensure safe, successful and timely fashion execution of projects. Act as the Client representative on sites to ensure successful and timely fashion execution of projects. Supervise, witness and accept/decline pre-commissioning, commissioning and test procedures and test results on behalf of the client. Documentation review, sign-off and hand-over. Record and report commissioning non-conformances. Give input into accident, incident, non-conformances and customer complaints where required. Essential Qualification, Experience and Personal Attributes Strong problem-solving skills in a pressurized situation. Previous relevant HV experience. Good working knowledge of Protection Automation and Control Systems. Proficient in the use of software packages. Previous experience with electrical commissioning equipment.
