THE ROLE
The Commissioning Engineer will report to the Commissioning Manager and be involved throughout the process from kick-off meeting to post energisation testing.
A key member of the team, he/she will act as a mentor for more junior members of the commissioning team.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compile commissioning packs for upcoming projects
- Attend project commissioning kick-off and co-ordination meetings
- Report equipment defects or calibration issues to the commissioning manager
- Complete project RFI/TQ's during commissioning and manage the design log process.
- Commission primary and secondary equipment on projects
- Configure projection relays, RTU, PLC, Power quality meters, and other substation automation systems
- Complete and submit redline drawings during commissioning
- Attend FAT tests for equipment when requested
- Ensure all required site modifications are completed and validate as-built drawings
- Complete commissioning and test documentation throughout project lifespan
- Provide declaration of fitness when commissioning is complete
- Complete pre and post energisation testing
- Assist junior commissioning engineers with development
Skills/Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- 5 years' + relevant industry experience
- Flexibility/Adaptability
- IT Literacy
- Strong communication skills
- Operational experience with Omicron test equipment
