THE ROLE


The Commissioning Engineer will report to the Commissioning Manager and be involved throughout the process from kick-off meeting to post energisation testing.

A key member of the team, he/she will act as a mentor for more junior members of the commissioning team.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile commissioning packs for upcoming projects
  • Attend project commissioning kick-off and co-ordination meetings
  • Report equipment defects or calibration issues to the commissioning manager
  • Complete project RFI/TQ's during commissioning and manage the design log process.
  • Commission primary and secondary equipment on projects
  • Configure projection relays, RTU, PLC, Power quality meters, and other substation automation systems
  • Complete and submit redline drawings during commissioning
  • Attend FAT tests for equipment when requested
  • Ensure all required site modifications are completed and validate as-built drawings
  • Complete commissioning and test documentation throughout project lifespan
  • Provide declaration of fitness when commissioning is complete
  • Complete pre and post energisation testing
  • Assist junior commissioning engineers with development

Skills/Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree
  • 5 years' + relevant industry experience
  • Flexibility/Adaptability
  • IT Literacy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Operational experience with Omicron test equipment
