Job Description

TTM Healthcare Solutions is currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Community Clinical Optometrist to join the team at a renowned Eyecare Centre in Tipperary to complement their existing services and support future growth. About the Centre Established as an independent practice in 1988, the practice continues to be led by experienced Community Ophthalmologist. The service offers comprehensive medical ophthalmology and optical services serving Tipperary Town and the wider Munster region. This is a fully digitised practice, equipped with the latest optical hardware, software and diagnostic tools including OCT/Humphreys fields testing. The Role The successful candidate will work alongside the existing eye care team to deliver high-quality care to patients, existing and new. The team are looking to expand and grow the business so this is an exciting time for a highly motivated individual to join the team and gain valuable mentorship from a long established Community Ophthalmologist. Key Responsibilities: Drive the Optometry side of the business demonstrating passion and a willingness to provide professional patient centric eye care. Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and an ability to build strong relationships with patients within the community and further afield. Conduct detailed eye examinations using the latest diagnostic tools and techniques. Diagnose and manage a range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts etc. Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, ensuring optimal visual outcomes for patients. Collaborate closely with the Ophthalmologist to provide comprehensive care and co-management of patients. Prioritise end to end patient experience by providing education on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options. Strong ability to work within a digitised practice, use optical systems and maintain accurate and detailed digital patient records. Qualifications/Competencies: A degree in Optometry and full registration with the relevant Irish professional body or equivalent. Proven experience as an Optometrist, ideally in a clinical or community setting. Eye unit hospital experience a distinct advantage. Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centred care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Proven experience using digital optical systems and comfortable in a digital-first environment. Why Apply?
