Job Description
TCP Homecare seeks a community nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in the greater Munster region. The role involves working as part of a team to deliver clinical services to patients in their own homes, maintaining accurate electronic patient records, and reporting back to clients and head office.
Main Responsibilities
- Training adult and paediatric patients and/or their carers to facilitate self-administration
- Administration of IV/IM/SC injections and oral therapies to patients
- Carry out wound care and catheter care
- Maintenance of accurate and detailed records
- Recognise and report untoward events
- Assess changes in patients' conditions and take appropriate action
- Implement operating procedures and protocols
- Ensure a safe clinical environment
- Attend relevant meetings and facilitate feedback
Requirements
- Cannulation and phlebotomy skills
- Demonstrable IV therapy experience
- Effective administration and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build good rapport with patients
- Flexibility and ability to work with a team
