Company Secretary


You will join an iconic and renowned organisation that plays a huge role in the heartbeat of both Dublin and Ireland.

The ideal role for a Co Sec/Corporate Governance professional who really wants to feel a part of something and make a significant contribution in the work they do.

As Company Secretary, you will manage the core governance framework of the organization and report directly into the CEO. This involves ensuring compliance with legal obligations and providing expert advice on governance matters. You'll also play a key role in supporting elections, handling legal documents, and coordinating information requests.


The role:

  • Organize and manage meetings for the Trustee Council, Advisory Council, General Meetings, and selected Committees.
  • Coordinate the annual election process for the governance structure.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, By-Laws, corporate governance, and legal regulations.
  • Provide governance guidance and support to staff, Council, and Committees.
  • Ensure adherence to legislation such as the Charities Act, Lobbying Act, and Data Protection laws.
  • Act as the central contact for Government Information and Data Protection requests, ensuring deadlines and obligations are met.
  • Collaborate closely with the President to support their role.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives as required

You:

  • A thirdlevel qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Membership of ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) is desirable.
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Company Secretary or in a similar role.
  • Experience working within complex governance structures, ideally in the notforprofit sector.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in minute taking, Microsoft Office, and comfortable with numbers.
