Job Description

Complex Motor Claims Adjuster role involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling liability disputed motor damage and theft claims.

We are a leading provider of insurance products and services for commercial and personal insurance customers. Our General Insurance business offers a broad range of products to customers through a diversified, multichannel distribution network.

The primary purpose of this role is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle liability disputed motor damage and theft claims. Determine whether to accept and deny a claim based on all documentation received. Typical claims include multiple car accidents where fault and liability is an issue.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing acceptable investigation claims handling and settlement techniques to achieve cost-effective and timely closure results
  • Obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing documentation, policy provisions, and other records
  • May require additional contact with other parties, such as claimants, third parties, and motor repair centers
  • Utilizing a diary system to proactively resolve outstanding issues and ensure timely processing and closure of claims
  • Providing timely service throughout the life of the claim by meeting all service level agreements and responding to incoming inquiries
  • Maintaining accurate system data and documentation by collecting, recording, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Determining and timely setting appropriate reserves within authority level
  • Identifying subrogation opportunities and fraud potential and making appropriate referrals

Requirements include:

  • Several years of experience working in motor damage handling
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Requires proficiency in Desk Management, phone etiquette, time management, and dealing with difficult customers
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle technical referrals from other claim handlers
