Complex Motor Claims Adjuster Location: Dublin 1 Osborne is currently looking to hire a complex motor claims adjuster on behalf of our client a leading global insurance organisation. About the Role: What You Need to Know: As a Complex Motor Claims Adjuster, your primary responsibility will be to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle liability-disputed motor damage and theft claims. You will determine the validity of claims based on documentation and make decisions on whether to accept or deny claims. You will handle complex claims involving multiple vehicle accidents where fault and liability are contested. Key Responsibilities: Utilise effective investigation techniques and claims handling practices to achieve cost-effective and timely claim resolutions. Review and analyse documentation, policy provisions, and other records, with potential contact with claimants, third parties, and motor repair centres. Maintain proactive management of claims through a diary system to ensure timely processing and closure. Provide timely service throughout the life of the claim, adhering to service level agreements and company policies. Maintain accurate data and documentation by collecting, recording, analysing, and summarizing relevant information. Determine and set appropriate reserves within your authority level. Identify opportunities for subrogation and detect potential fraud, making the necessary referrals. What Were Looking For: Several years of experience in motor damage claims handling. Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in desk management, phone etiquette, time management, and handling difficult customers. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to manage technical referrals from other claims handlers.
