Job Description

Highly skilled professional sought to lead sanctions risk management for a global financial institution, leveraging expertise in AML and sanctions regulations to drive compliance and mitigate risks. Citi, a global financial institution, has a presence in Ireland since 1965 and is the Citibank Europe Plc Headquarters. As a Compliance Sanctions Senior Officer, you will be responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, and processes related to monitoring and fostering awareness of sanctions regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain sanctions risk management policy
  • Maintain the AML compliance program for the businesses, assessing risks, developing policies, procedures, and governance
  • Design and maintain elements of the ICRM Sanctions Framework
  • Oversee adherence to procedures and processes for compliance
  • Direct technology solutions for effective and efficient compliance risk management
  • Support investigations and interactions with regulatory authorities, including OFAC
  • Monitor adherence to Citi's Global Sanctions Policy and relevant procedures
  • Work closely with ICRM Compliance Assurance and Internal Audit to evaluate results and propose remedial actions
Requirements:
  • Expertise in AML and sanctions regulations, risks, and typologies
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with flexibility, innovation, and adaptability
  • Strong presentation skills to articulate complex problems and solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners
  • Experience in managing regulatory exams and relationships with examiners, auditors, etc.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in compliance, legal, or other control-related functions, or a combination thereof
  • Advanced degree preferred
