Job Description

Join our Compliance team at Allianz Ireland as a Compliance Specialist. As a key member, you will provide independent compliance oversight and advisory lead on assigned topics, ensuring regulatory requirements and controls are embedded in the business. Your expertise will directly influence critical business decisions and help shape our compliance strategies. You will work closely with a diverse team of professionals, including Compliance Business Partners, and engage with Allianz Group's central functions in Germany. Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Maintaining an effective compliance risk monitoring programme and related policies and procedures.

  • Conducting end-to-end process compliance risk reviews, gap analyses, monitoring, and testing across the business.

  • Reviewing policies and procedures, conducting targeted interviews, and documenting findings.

  • Providing recommendations on effectiveness, efficiency, and best practice.

  • Providing compliance guidance and direction for all business requirements.

  • Ensuring assigned compliance tasks are completed within required timeframes.

  • Providing independent compliance oversight and advisory lead.

  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging regulatory requirements.

  • Identifying areas to increase efficiency of compliance processes and reporting.

  • Mining and analysing large datasets to prepare valuable reports.


Essential Experience:

  • Professional Certificate or Diploma in Compliance (ACOI).

  • 3-5 years experience in a Compliance/Audit role with demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory environment.

  • Excellent collaboration attitude and ability to work with business areas.

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.


Desirable Experience:

  • Financial services experience, preferably within a general insurance firm.

  • Applicants should have experience in a CF2 role in line with SI 437 of 2011.

  • Risk/Audit qualification.

  • Knowledge and experience in advising in the Republic of Ireland (CBI).
