Job Description
Quality Inspector/Technician sought to improve quality levels in a concrete manufacturing environment.
Our client, a well-known concrete manufacturer, requires a full-time permanent Quality Inspector/Technician to work closely with operational functions to ensure quality levels are constantly improved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring quality levels across all products to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Overseeing the non-conformance system and process within the production environment.
- Developing and maintaining a system for identifying non-conforming and out-of-specification product, recording NCRs, and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Developing a system for final inspection of all products prior to shipping.
- Providing support for production teams through in-process inspection.
- Monitoring quality trends and issues as highlighted within quality KPIs.
- Working with the post-production team to track and inspect required remedial works.
- Assisting the Quality team in developing SOPs to address quality improvements.
- Supporting staff training in quality, operational, and manufacturing requirements.
- Working on continuous improvement projects as directed by the operations team.
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Good command of the English language.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, problem-solving, decision-making, assertiveness, and responsibility.
- Ability to work with other team members as part of the wider team.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft systems, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
