Constructability Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering
Join AWS Infrastructure Services in designing, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. Support all AWS data centers and servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment for continual customer access to innovation.

The AWS Data Center Design Engineering team seeks a Constructability Engineer to join their collaborative Constructability team.
Our team creates and delivers innovative products to customers, known for diversity, upbeats, and changing the face of Cloud Computing.
Amazon’s data centers are industry leading examples of energy efficiency, cost effectiveness, and carbon footprint reduction.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Work with Global Constructability Principal and Construction Management teams for consistency of approach.
* Drive practical constructability standards in design documentation.
* Drive commissionability improvements in designs.
* Optimize engineering input post design completion.
* Work with regional engineering teams to drive consistency.
* Act as initial point of escalation for complex constructability issues (25% regional travel).
A Day in the Life:
* Involved in entire project process from site selection to operations.
* Conduit between Design Engineering and other teams, providing pragmatic and practical engineering support.
* Resolution of delivery issues requires thorough understanding of design and construction process.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction related discipline.
5+ years of construction experience, including data centre projects.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and high quality standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of experience in data centre engineering.
In depth understanding of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
Able to think outside the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs with no impact on quality and reliability.
