As the group prepares for continued growth and investment in the UK and Ireland, Glennon Brothers is now expanding its management team to appoint an Assistant Contracts Manager for its timber frame business DTE Manufacturing Ltd. Role We are currently seeking an Assistant Contracts Manager to join our growing team. This is a permanent role within our timber frame business and will give the applicant the opportunity to develop a vast amount of experience in a fast-growing industry. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of construction, including quality control procedures, health and safety requirements on construction sites and be self-motivated with good IT skills. The candidate will work closely with the Contracts Manager and and will be given guidance, training and support to carry out this role. Roles and Responsibilities Supporting the contracts manager in the day to day running of sites throughout Ireland. Ensure high standards of work are maintained throughout the installation process. Accurately record and report any site issues that may arise as part of the overall quality control and certification process. Ensure any variations or day works are carried out in accordance with DTE procedures. Carry out weekly toolbox talks and other tasks assigned to you with the site teams. Maintain high professional standards whilst carrying out your role. Act as a constant point of contact between the site, design and manufacturing team, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with relevant building regulations and that sign of documentation is completed and properly maintained. Assist in the management of erecting teams on site on a day to day basis. Maintain detailed site diaries and photographic reports supporting sign off documentation. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the timber frame industry/product and be able to suggest improvements or developments which could help with the long term quality of the product. Maintain detailed site records of meetings, correspondence with the site team and client. Ensure good relationships are maintained between the site team, clients and other third parties on site. Ensure DTE materials and equipment on site is looked after and well maintained. Create realistic schedules and plans for individual sites to be shared with the design and production team. Ensure high levels of Health and Safety are being adhered to on site and be fully engaged with the site team on site requirements for any given task. Drive efficiencies and standardisation of approach, practices and reporting. Actively promote and prioritise a safe working environment for our people. Ensure that appropriate policies, procedures, staff and processes are in place. Desired Competencies Extensive travel between sites. Desired Qualifications and Benefits Trade or building qualification would be beneficial. Timber frame experience beneficial but not essential. Good interpersonal skills.
