Blackrock Health Galway Clinic, part of Blackrock Health Group is the leading provider of private healthcare in the West of Ireland. There are 150 Consultants practicing across 60 specialties within the Clinic. Blackrock Health Galway Clinic is also an affiliated teaching hospital to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and University of Galway. Due to current expansion plans the following vacancy has arisen:
Construction Project Manager - Temporary 3 Year Fixed Term Contract
The Construction Project Manager will plan and supervise a wide range of construction and other projects from concept to completion. You will organize and oversee construction projects and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner, within budget and with minimum levels of disruption to hospital operations.
Duties to include but are not limited to:
- Leading a project from initiation to delivery and close out.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication among all stakeholders.
- Support the senior team in preparing early business case information for new projects.
- Competency in PSDP and PSCS and risk management.
- Engage contractors for preliminary surveys where applicable.
The Candidate:
- BSc/BA in Engineering, building science or relevant field equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
- Proven experience as construction project manager.
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment desirable.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
