Job Description

Our client is a specialist roofing, cladding and façade contractor. Covering all sectors of the construction industry including digital technology, commercial, retail, industrial, residential, pharmaceutical, and healthcare. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team. Candidate requirments: - A degree in a construction-related field or an equivalent qualification; a degree in construction science or engineering is preferred. - A minimum of three years of experience in project management within the roofing or cladding industry is desirable. Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawing specifications for roofing projects is essential. - Familiarity with roofing construction methods and practices, including relevant safety codes and regulations. - Strong communication, supervisory, and managerial abilities. - Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; knowledge of Microsoft Project is advantageous. - Exceptional IT skills. - Outstanding organizational capabilities. - A collaborative team player. - A valid driver's license. Primary Responsibilities: - Ensure that adequate labour and materials are present on all projects, while guaranteeing that all personnel adhere to Health & Safety (H&S) regulations. - Manage the procurement of materials within the designated budget, ensuring timely delivery to the site in accordance with the project schedule. - Confirm that sufficient plant and equipment are available on-site as needed, ensuring full compliance with H&S standards. - Oversee that all work is executed in line with approved drawings and specifications. - Develop and implement site Inspection and Test Plans to maintain quality throughout the installation process. - Create site-specific risk assessments and method statements, updating them as necessary during the project. - Provide weekly reports comparing planned versus actual progress, facilitating the integration of any necessary adjustments into the agreed-upon schedule. Progress reports should include location and dated photographs. - Lead and participate in weekly internal project meetings. - Attend external project meetings with clients and design teams as required, ensuring that minutes are recorded, distributed, and filed in the appropriate section of the project folder. - Collaborate with the Contracts Manager and Project Director, becoming familiar with the Bill of Quantities to ensure effective project execution
