Construction Safety Program Lead

A highly motivated and organized individual is sought to support the authoring and launching of our growing safety management program.

About the Role

  • Author comprehensive programs, policies, standards, tools, and mechanisms for improving health and safety at AWS.
  • Structure H&S management system to the AWS Safety Management Program governance, and ISO 45001 structure.
  • Identify management system gaps and prioritize needs according to the architecture elements of Leadership, Planning, Support, Operational Controls, Performance Management, and Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure program compliance to regulatory jurisdictions, and conformance to AWS policies.
  • Align the global strategy, structure documentation regionally and apply H&S programs locally ensuring clear and concise communication and deployment plans are delivered.
  • Establish score cards on H&S performance for the business to have clear read on how they are performing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in International Standards Organization standard application such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, or ISO 45001.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant safety experience managing or building health and safety programs, with a proven record of safety, with minimum 5 years of experience working in the construction industry as a safety professional.
