Job Description

Join our team as a Consultant Ecologist and work on diverse projects, including nationally significant infrastructure and renewable energy projects, collaborating with multiple disciplines.

We are seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join our Ireland and Scotland Ecology Regional Team and work on a range of projects, including nationally significant infrastructure and renewable energy projects. As a Consultant Ecologist, you will be embedded within our team and will be involved in the following activities:

  • Planning and undertaking ecology surveys, including Fossitt habitat surveys and protected species surveys.
  • Preparation of ecological reports, including Protected Species Reports, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, and Appropriate Assessments.
  • Attending weekly and monthly Ecology team meetings.
  • Availing of a generous training and career development budget to complete training and further your personal development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An appropriate academic qualification and/or experience in a related discipline.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (or equivalent).
  • Experience in planning and undertaking field surveys, including Fossitt habitat surveys and protected species surveys.
  • Experience in writing or inputting into ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Protected Species Reports.
  • Ideal qualifications: A full, clean driving licence and a desire to develop your core ecological and consultancy skills.
