Job Description
Cpl Healthcare has an immediate requirement for a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Dublin city. The role will involve working across 2 clinics with a multidisciplinary private eye clinic specializing in general ophthalmology, cataract, glaucoma, cornea, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, medical retina and vitreo-retinal surgery & paediatric ophthalmology. The focus of the clinics is to deliver high quality, patient-centred eye care with an emphasis on excellent long-term outcomes.
To be considered for the role, the following selection criteria apply:
- Registered on (or close to completing training and eligible for) the Specialist Register, Division of Ophthalmology with the Irish Medical Council
Or
- Possess FRCSI (Ophth) Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Or
- Possess a professional qualification at least equivalent to the above.
- At least three years satisfactory experience in hospital recognised Ophthalmic posts.
- Experience in retina, glaucoma, laser treatments (including YAG and argon laser), intravitreal injections, ocular side room procedures and cataract surgery, essential.
- Experience in oculoplastics would be beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication skills.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
