Paediatrician required to provide medical assessment and supportive care for children with pervasive neurodevelopmental disorders, working in community and hospital settings.
The role involves delivering medical support and diagnostic work-ups for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, collaborating with community disability teams and hospital services to provide holistic care.
The paediatrician will contribute to the management of complications commonly experienced by children with disability, including feeding and nutrition, gastrointestinal health and sleep.
The role requires a specialist in General Paediatrics with two years certified postgraduate training in paediatric neurodisability/Community Child Health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing medical assessment and supportive care for children with pervasive neurodevelopmental disorders
- Collaborating with community disability teams and hospital services to provide holistic care
- Contributing to the management of complications commonly experienced by children with disability
- Providing medical support and diagnostic work-ups for children with neurodevelopmental disorders
Essential criteria include:
- Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of General Paediatrics
- Two years certified postgraduate training in paediatric neurodisability/Community Child Health
