It is an acute general hospital providing an extensive range of medical and surgical specialities for both adults and children including Oncology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, General Surgery and Radiotherapy Services. Bon Secours Hospital Cork is a teaching hospital of UCC thereby making a significant contribution to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in medicine, nursing and allied health professions. The Hospital is proud to hold many quality accreditations including JCI, INAB and ESMO. The hospital provides access to diagnostics and therapeutics across a wide range of paediatric specialties. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Consultant Paediatrician who is committed to providing excellent patient care to children in Irelands only Acute Paediatric private inpatient facility. The successful applicant will need to be a confident decision maker, committed team-oriented individual and possess excellent communication and engagement skills. You will be joining a team of 3 Consultant Paediatricians with a special interest in Neurology, Allergy, and Nephrology. In addition, there is a paediatric assessment unit run by two paediatric emergency consultants. You will deliver general Paediatric care to patients in the Bon Secours Hospital, taking part in a general paediatric on-call rota. The applicant will also have admission privileges for in-patient and day-case beds to provide elective investigations and treatment for patients. Eligibility: Applicants must hold registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland or entitled to be so registered. The possession of the MRCPI in the relevant speciality or a qualification equivalent to one of these. Inclusion or eligibility to be included on the division of Paediatrics of the register of Medical Specialist maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland.
