Consultant Psychiatrist required for a prestigious private hospital in Dublin, with a focus on General Adult Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry or Psychiatry of Later Life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and undertake all duties and functions within the Consultant's area of competence, aligning with policies specified by the Clinical Director.
- Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director to support operational and strategic plans.
- Advise the Clinical Director on clinical priorities, actively participating in strategic development discussions.
- Manage clinical team members as designated by the Clinical Director.
- Foster an open and inclusive working style, ensuring positive relationships and effective communication.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and Mental Health Commission requirements.
- Develop innovative ways of delivering clinical services and maintain the highest standards of clinical effectiveness.
- Facilitate professional clinical competence and participate in performance management.
- Assist with collaborative teaching and training programs in line with the client's strategy.
- Promote research activity and teaching in the Hospital according to the organization's strategic plan.
Requirements:
- Full registration with the Specialist Register (Psychiatrist) of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland.
- Minimum of seven years post-grad experience.
- Registration as a general adult psychiatrist with a sub-specialized interest in Psychiatry of Later Life or Neuropsychiatry desirable.
- People management experience or position of additional responsibility to the clinical area.
- Proven track record in leading change and developing clinical services.
- Energetic individual with solid experience collaborating with a diverse team of clinicians and strong knowledge of Clinical Governance.
- Good knowledge and experience of health, safety, and other statutory regulations affecting a healthcare organization.
- Ability to deliver core contracted hours and undertake on-call services as per the agreed rota.
