Job Title: Continuous Improvement Production Manager RoleType: Permanent, Full time Location:Grannagh Co. Waterford Role Summary: Dawn Meats is a premium meat processor and supplier of choice for a range of leading supermarket, foodservice and restaurant businesses. We are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Production Manager in our Grannagh site in Co. Waterford. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge from the food sector to help drive forward our strategy in this area. In this role youll work alongside the operations team to build Continuous Improvement capability and drive profitability at site level operations. Youll also drive Continuous Improvement and Lean activities at all levels throughout the site, as well as train, advise, lead and influence people at all levels to ensure efficiency and productivity improvements. Finally, you will support and maintain momentum for the companys strategic initiative to create a Lean culture across the core business, acting as a central point for compiling, publishing and where necessary presenting continuous improvement progress and results for the site. The successful candidate will work as part of the Operations team and will be responsible for: Overseeing the continuous improvement and lean activities across site production. To establish and be accountable for the delivery of appropriate Continuous Improvement KPIs to ensure that the site meets profitability, production efficiency, quality and yield targets with particular reference to Lean manufacturing. Carry out regular and ongoing analysis of results to identify shortfalls and implement remedial plans as required. Project manage strategic improvement projects from inception to completion. To interface effectively with the production teams to ensure customer requirements are met in full. To maintain compliance with all relevant legislation. To participate in site visits and audits and prepare accordingly in a manner to reflect best practice in the industry and respond accordingly to customer ethical audit feedback. Key Requirements: At least 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the food industry. Proven track record of implementing and managing continuous improvement projects. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects. This includes the ability to coach and mentor team members on continuous improvement practices. Excellent communication skills. Effective people management and influencing skills. Familiarity with production performance measurements and data analysis tools.
