Job Description

Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Irelands top Civil Contractors are hiring a Contracts Manager. This is a full- time position based in head office in Dublin. This is not a remote working position. Duties: Be the primary point of contact and responsible for running numerous projects within urban and rural environments, with particular attention to urban environments. Report directly to the Managing Director. Ability to be view project through a commercial lens and have the ability to understand how projects are priced and works carried out. Ability to detail costs to complete values and claims narratives. Building successful relationships with Clients, Client Representatives and other 3rd party providers and stakeholders. Ability to draw, construct and review drawings with a high level of detail for value engineering and efficient design. Ability to study design briefs and prepare proposed design packs from concept to detailed designs, with input into environmental, archaeology and other relevant aspects. Ability to draft and communicate regular reports for the purposes of status reporting as well as guidance across the business with a view of directing actions required. Manage an existing team with communication and leadership skills that is both efficient, effective and motivational. Ability to liaise and coordinate seamlessly with multiple levels of Staff, Departments, Clients, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and any other stakeholders. Interested in developing current team structures and processes with the ability to introduce new people to the company, along with external new supply chains. Requirements: Full clean drivers license essential. A minimum level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management 10 years total experience, 5 of which need to be in Ireland Have experience dealing with Stakeholders such as Irish Water and ESB Experience with Public Works contracts desirable Experience with large civils projects such as roads, bridges, bulk excavations Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines. Time management abilities to meet targets. Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
