Job Description

STEM Recruitment Partners are representing our client in the search for a talented Control Systems Engineer (Delta V) to join an API client based in the North West of Ireland. This position reports directly to the Automation Manager. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally on a broad range of technologies including Siemens TIA, S7, Allen Bradley, and Delta V, and will be involved in Factory of Future initiatives. This is a 12-month contract with a likelihood of extension. €55-65/hour DOE Fully onsite. Job Responsibilities: Provide technical support for all control system-related issues, including daily troubleshooting, optimization, and documentation control. Offer functional expertise to support daily operations and ensure prompt decisions on technical issues. Lead control system validation activities during project start-up. Manage the life cycle of on-site control systems, adhering to GAMP 5 requirements. Project manage control system elements of continuous improvement projects. Collaborate closely with process engineers, technical support chemists, and other departments to deliver continuous improvement projects. Manage and technically develop future integrations of control systems with planned MIS and ERP systems. Propose long-term plans for control system maintenance, obsolescence remediation, and improvements for management. Implement changes to GMP systems under change management. Adhere to and support all site standards, procedures, and policies. Job Requirements: Third-level qualification in a relevant technical discipline such as automation or mechatronics. 3+ years of experience in process automation, with relevant experience in batch processing and DCS platforms in a GMP environment. Delta V experience is essential. Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously. Pharmaceutical industry experience is an advantage. 3 years of experience with 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for automated systems in the pharmaceutical sector. Experience with Ignition and industrial communication protocols (e.g., PROFINET, Profibus) is an advantage Skills: Delta V PLC Siemens
