Job Description Summary: Assist in development and support of manufacturing processes, design, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and control systems in a high-volume regulated production process.
The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the profitability, continuity, and growth of Hollister Incorporated by supporting the development and support of manufacturing processes in the Ballina plant. This will involve working on the design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical and control systems for new and existing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized technical support and input into the development of new automated machinery and processes.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and stakeholders to develop detailed user requirement specifications and robust machine designs.
  • Develop and track project plans for control tasks and participate in machine improvement initiatives to increase reliability and productivity.
  • Support the qualification of new production equipment and processes, ensuring compliance to quality standards.
  • Ensure safety compliance of control hardware and software, and support the closeout of risk assessments.
Process Support: Provide specialized technical support in the day-to-day operation of manufacturing processes, specifically supporting control systems. This will involve troubleshooting problems, implementing corrective measures, and proposing preventative measures to prevent re-occurrence.
Qualifications:
  • Primary degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years' experience working in a controls/PLC highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of PLC systems and programming, networking of computers and machines, and pneumatic systems and schematics.
  • Experience with motion control, robotics, servo and vision systems, SCADA systems, and electrical standards and safety procedures.
