Job ID: 2750668 | Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited **Job Description** The AWS Data Center Systems team is responsible for building services to monitor, control, and alert data center infrastructure systems. Our services directly contribute to the high availability of AWS data centers and Amazon's sustainability goals. We are looking for a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. **Key Responsibilities** • Develop and implement control systems for data center operations, focusing on efficiency and availability • Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver control system solutions for customers • Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions • Provide QA/QC oversight of hardware installation and commissioning • Develop and support mechanisms for mechanical and electrical controls products • Interact with AWS cloud services and other applications to present, archive, and analyze accumulated data **Requirements** • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology • 5+ years of experience in controls engineering, including programming development, start-up, and commissioning of critical systems • 3+ years of experience in designing or contributing to the design of Controls and Monitoring solution projects • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders **Preferred Qualifications** • Proficiency in software programming languages, including Python and/or Codesys • Experience in project management and project engineering, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget • Experience in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, with proven success in coordinating across multiple teams • Design and integration experience with Industrial IoT solutions, demonstrating innovative approaches to control systems and automation **About the Team** AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
