Conveyancing Legal Executive | Cork | 30-40K


A prominent client based in Cork are currently seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Executive to join their team & busy office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of residential commercial property transactions including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, ensuring that clients are informed of progress and advised on legal matters effectively.
  • Draft, review, and advise on legal documents including contracts, title deeds, and transfer documents.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures, GDPR, and other relevant legislation.
  • Investigate titles, resolve any title issues, and ensure the transfer of clear title to the buyer.
  • Arrange and review property searches, including local authority, environmental, and drainage searches.
  • Work closely with mortgage lenders, brokers, and other parties to ensure financing is secured in a timely manner.
  • Handle any disputes or complications that arise during the conveyancing process, working to find a solution that satisfies all parties involved.
  • Ensure all precompletion formalities are completed, prepare completion statements, and coordinate the exchange of contracts.
  • Manage postcompletion activities, including the registration of properties with the Land Registry and dealing with Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) submissions.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate case files, both electronic and paperbased, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and stored securely.
  • Work collaboratively with the conveyancing team and other departments within the firm to ensure an efficient service for clients.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload.
  • Experience with freehold and leasehold transactions.
  • Familiarity with the conveyancing process from start to finish, including new build and shared ownership properties (desirable).

Skills:

  • Strong legal knowledge in conveyancing and property law.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problemsolving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
