Job Description

Our Client: Phoenix is delighted to exclusively partner with a progressive Professional and Corporate Services provider on a strategic senior C-suite appointment. Due to our client’s innovative and tech-driven approach, our client continues to exclusively secure lucrative professional and business services contracts with a range of State bodies and private institutions nationally, with scope to further develop this offering in tandem with the development of the wider business. Our client seeks to recruit a commercial, results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will operationally support and commercially drive the organisation forward as part of its next exciting phase of development. Our client is Munster-based, operating on a hybrid-working model. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Overview The successful candidate will be a highly driven, commercially minded individual and as COO, will provide: Ongoing operational, leadership, and financial oversight support to the organisation. Strategic commercial support, and in conjunction with the senior executive, senior leadership, and finance teams as appropriate, drive consistent sustainable growth across the organisation by: leveraging existing clients, contracts, and business lines; identifying and pursuing new revenue-generating clients and opportunities; identifying and implementing policy and procedure improvements and efficiencies as appropriate across the business; promoting, adopting, and implementing relevant AI and other emerging technologies as appropriate across the business to drive bottom-line. Core Areas of Responsibility Operational Management Risk Management Leadership and Team Management Financial Oversight Performance Monitoring Strategic Planning Stakeholder Communication Innovation and Improvement Key Skills & Competencies: The successful candidate will have a proven record delivering in similar roles and at a similar level. In addition: Prior professional services firm experience and/or project management or similar qualifications are both advantageous but not essential depending on experience. Proven record adopting a data-based, purposeful approach with tangible benefits. Experience operating in a KPI environment is highly advantageous. Demonstrate solid commercial and business acumen. Proven track record identifying and delivering new revenue-generating business opportunities. Proven and exceptional client relationship/client account development and management skills. Prior procurement and tendering experience, including e-tender experience, highly advantageous. Or, at a minimum, a genuine desire to up-skill and become the business SME responsible for leading and managing the procurement and tendering process. Experience of industry regulations and standards including ISO 9001/27001/14001/4500 and maintaining compliance with the same highly advantageous. Holds a proven senior leadership and performance management support record, including at senior executive level. Superb stakeholder relationship development and management skills - both internal and external. A proven ability to positively influence and bring people with them on a change/improvement journey. Proven record successfully providing financial oversight support including budget and financial planning, and financial performance review oversight support. A proficiency and genuine interest in Technology. A record of maximising technological developments within an organisation resulting in financial gain and/or proven efficiencies. Proven record maximising financial performance and efficiency within an organisation. Exceptional organisational skills, with a proven ability to effectively manage simultaneous projects with multiple stakeholders, in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills with superior attention to detail. Adaptable, self-motivated, commercial, and solutions focused. #J-18808-Ljbffr
