Corporate Security OfficerLocation: UPMC Whitfield HospitalJob type: PermanentOverview of role:UPMC Whitfield are seeking applications from dynamic professionals to join their team of corporate security officers.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to conduct a shift-based roster schedule.Mix of days and nights - Monday to Sunday 12- & 8-hour patterns.Availability for both weekdays & weekends shift schedule.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work off own initiative.Scope of Work:Manage main reception and be welcoming to staff and visitors.Manage contractors and associated paperwork.Manage visiting company representatives.Deal with queries from visitors and guests.Control large numbers of keys being issued to staff members.Monitor and adjust access control systems.Monitor CCTV systems.Monitor and control fire systems.Monitor carpark and barrier systems.Enforce company rules and policies.Protect property, staff, visitors, and guests.Perform security patrols, security checks, and report irregularities.Monitor numerous alarm systems and respond to all alerts.Complete porter duties as required.Restrain trespassers.Work closely with site supervisor and senior management.Conduct regular health and safety checks of all areas.Deal with emergencies and liaise with GardaĆ­ if necessary.Proven role as corporate security officer an advantage.Qualifications & Experience:Must hold a valid Private Security Authority License - Static.Minimum 6 months industry experience.English communication (Oral & Written).Basic IT Skills - Microsoft systems.Healthcare experience an advantage.Equal Opportunity Statement and Benefits:UPMC is an equal opportunity employer.
